A never before seen opening video plays. At the end, the words "'Mean' Gene's WWF Weekly Watch" appear across the screen. As they disappear, we are brought to "Mean" Gene Okerlund.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund: Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to WWF Weekly Watch! I am your host, "Mean" Gene Okerlund, and for those of you who don't know what this show is about, allow me to fill you in. On this show, we will have a weekly recap of all the biggest headlines, roster moves, injuries, and anything else newsworthy. Also, we will have exclusive interviews with WWF Superstars and staff! So, let's get to it. This week's top story...
"Mean" Gene Okerlund: The return of the man formerly known to the wrestling world as Sid Justice, but now goes by the name "Sycho" Sid! For those of you who missed it, Jerry "The King" Lawler had Mr. Perfect on The King's Court, as his guest, in regards to his recent back surgery. There wasn't a dry eye in the audience, as Mr. Perfect began to look on the verge of tears himself while making an emotional speech, which was thought to be the announcement of his retirement. Just as Mr. Perfect announced he would not be retiring, however, he was struck from behind on his surgically repaired back by Sid, who then proceeded to deliver a devastating powerbomb! Mr. Perfect is now home in Minneapolis, and we are told has been unable to leave his bed. We'll have more on his condition as soon as we can.
The cameras switch, as we see an angled shot of "Mean" Gene, and he turns to face the second camera.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund: While we're on the subject of injuries, we unfortunately have another one to announce, as Jake "The Snake" Roberts was brutally attacked in the parking lot, and so far there have been no witnesses. Jake Roberts was released from the hospital today, and when asked about the event, was unable to identify his attacker and could only say that it was "all really fuzzy" and that "he never got a good look" at his attacker.
He turns back to the first camera as it switches back.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund: Well folks, I told you we'd have some exclusive interviews on this show, and boy, what a way to start off. Tonight on the first edition of WWF Weekly Watch, here live, the owner of the World Wrestling Federation... Vince McMahon!
The camera zooms out, and Vince McMahon walks onto the set and stands next to "Mean" Gene.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund: Well Vince, by now we've all seen the press conference where it was announced that the WWF would be returning, and it's a day that brought a lot of joy to a lot of wrestling fans around the world. What the people want to know now, Vince, is what is going to happen to the WWF, Intercontinental, and Tag Team Championships.
Vince McMahon: Well, I'm sure the people would like to know, in fact, I'm sure they would LOVE to know... I am a man of the people, "Mean" Gene, and I always give them what they want.
A big grin comes across his face and he begins to chuckle.
Vince McMahon: But not here, not now. When I'm ready to address the title situation, I will. But... I do have an announcement to make here, live on "Mean" Gene's WWF Weekly Watch! Folks! Join us on Pay-Per-View Sunday, December 29th for WWF In Your House: Massacre on 34th St, LIVE from "The World's Most Famous Arena" Madison Square Garden!
"Mean" Gene Okerlund: Wow! Great to see the World Wrestling Federation finally making its highly anticipated return to Pay-Per-View, and right around the holidays! Vince, is it safe to say we might have a better idea of the title situation by then?
Vince McMahon: I see you're persistent "Mean" Gene. I like that... I daresay you might.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund: Alright Vince, any comment on the brutal attack on Mr. Perfect everyone's been talking about, at the hands of "Sycho" Sid?
Vince McMahon: You gotta give the fans what they want, right "Mean" Gene?
A smile comes across his face, a sickening twisted smile.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund: I'm not sure some fans would agree with that. Alright, Vince, one more and I'll let you go. We all saw at the end of Raw, you and President Dibiase standing atop the Raw stage, getting a closer look at "The Dead Man." Has he impressed you with his win over "The Hitman" enough to make you consider him for the WWF Championship?
Vince McMahon: It's only one match "Mean" Gene, but I will say that I've always been somewhat of a fan of The Undertaker. I love the way he drives fear and despair into his opponents! Like I said though, I will address the title situation when the time comes, and now is not that time.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund: Alright Vince, thank you for coming on!
Vince nods and walks off set. The camera zooms back in on "Mean" Gene.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund: Alright folks, that's all the time we have! Thank you for tuning in to WWF Weekly Watch, and make sure to tune in next week for the latest news and more exclusive interviews! Goodnight!
